Privacy-first • no accounts • no tracking
Effective date: January 1, 2026

Quick Toolkit is a lightweight Chrome extension that provides (1) developer reference links and (2) an IT support ticket note builder with a copy-to-clipboard action. The extension is designed to be privacy-first and does not require accounts.

Summary

  • No tracking. No analytics. No ads.
  • No personal data collection.
  • Some preferences may be saved locally in your browser for convenience.
  • Clipboard copy happens only when you click Copy.

What we do not collect

  • Browsing history
  • Keystrokes / mouse tracking
  • Passwords or authentication data
  • Personal identifiers (name, email, address)
  • Payments or financial information

Data We Collect

Quick Toolkit does not collect personal data such as your name, email, browsing history, or web activity.

Local storage (on your device only)

The extension may store small UI preferences locally using Chrome’s storage API to improve usability.

Examples Last selected tab (Developer / IT Support), selected issue type (optional convenience)
Where it goes Stored locally in your browser (not sent to any server)

Clipboard

When you click the Copy button, the extension writes the generated note to your clipboard so you can paste it into your ticketing system. The extension does not read your clipboard and does not transmit copied content.

Permissions Explained

  • storage — used to save small UI preferences locally (example: active tab, issue type).
  • clipboardWrite — used only when you click Copy to place generated text into your clipboard.

External Links & Third-Party Websites

The extension includes buttons that open third-party websites (for example: MDN, GitHub, Stack Overflow). When you click a link, your browsing is subject to that website’s privacy policy. Quick Toolkit does not control those sites.

External Assets (Icon Fonts)

If the extension loads an external icon font stylesheet (for example, Remix Icon via a CDN), your browser may make a request to download those files. That request may include standard technical data (such as IP address and user agent) as part of normal web traffic. Quick Toolkit does not receive or store this data.

If icons are bundled locally inside the extension package, no external requests are made for icons.

Data Sharing

  • We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.
  • We do not use data for advertising or profiling.

Data Retention

Any preferences stored via Chrome extension storage remain on your device until you clear the extension’s data or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored data.

Children’s Privacy

Quick Toolkit is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the extension. The “Effective date” will be updated when changes are made.
